Until I master my own at home, I'll continue to take flavor profiles from the greats. Sesame oil is perfection in JF1. The ratio of tofu, wood ear&white mushrooms, bamboo and water chestnuts is spot on. Just the right amount of heat. Crispy noodles are as the should be...fried wontons and I'm here for it all. Ty JF1. I'll see you soon.
Being in a strip mall next to a dollar general, we weren't expecting much, but the food and service were excellent. We just missed lunch pricing and thought it was a little pricey, but after the first bite, we knew it was worth it. Plus, we had enough left over to have another meal or two out of it. Mom got the chicken hibachi and was warned that theirs is different from other places--it has a thick, sweet sauce that she loved. No need for yum yum sauce (or egg yolk sauce, which they don't have). I got the eggplant in garlic sauce with mild instead of the default spicy, and it was delicious. Also, they use Asian eggplant, which is skinnier and less seedy than American eggplant. It's also a gorgeous shade of purple that keeps its color. I might ask them to add carrots and sweet onions next time because those were so good in mom's, and they'd look pretty. We had the dining room to ourselves at 3:30 on a Sunday. All in all, we had a much better than expected experience
My favorite go to for sesame chicken, Kung Pao, and chicken chow mein.
I placed a Door Dash order Friday night at 7pm.Based upon another favorable review I ordered an egg roll and I agree it was delicious!I ordered Chicken Lo-Mein and it was fresh with great flavor. The order followed my special notes (requested side of sauce and no veggies in Lo Mein). The chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked. The price was favorable as well.I would definitely order from here again.[Note: I never give 5 stars on my first experience with takeout. I will update accordingly after my follow-up experience.
Their food is TOP QUALITY. I'm from Boston, and they're known for some of the best Chinese food. Joy Food One is the closest I've found to East Coast Chinese food. My family loves the food there.
