Foods are already cooked and is in a steam table. Sandwiches are being made as ordered. When everyone in your party is seated. A server collects all tickets and brings food to the table. There were 11 people in our party. The first 7 orders were brought to the table quickly. After a lag long enough for all others to finish eating, the next two arrived. One without the fries. We were assured they were coming. Ok...they finished their meal...minus fries and the last two meals still hadn 't arrived. Still we waited with apologies and assurance that our meals were coming. To our servers credit, she had already asked the manager Alex to come speak with us. He had already told her that This isn 't a fast food restaurant! Clearly!!! He came out and said that there was a delay at the sandwich making station and that there was an issue with the fryer and they are Doing the best they can Very unprofessional!!! Eventually we got the sandwich and fries. You would expect that they would be hot after that, but they were slightly warm. All that being said, I enjoyed my ham and cheese Po Boy and I heard no complaints about any of the rest of our parties food. The manager did tell our waitress to offer us each a bread pudding to go which we declined since we don 't care for that. She did give us a brownie and a pecan pie. Please understand that our waitress was doing her best! This issue falls squarely on management. Not a good first impression!!! I would try again at a slower time.
The burgers were falling apart. They didn?t toast the bread and it tasted stale. I?m sure McDonalds tastes better for half the price.
I don't usually write reviews but I was a little upset by all the bad reviews about McAlister's. Especially when I noticed a 1 star review and the pictures were of food from Fuddruckers. Which is right next door. It made me think people are mistaken. I'm glad I went! The lady at the register wasn't the most charming as some people have said BUT the food was quick (even with a few orders ahead of me) yummy and fresh! Glad I tried it despite the reviews. I will definitely go back.
This is a small establishment that appears to be always busy, so be prepared to wait. Good thing you?re surrounded by a casino to keep you busy! The staff is incredibly friendly and does their best to make up for the wait. The food is great and what you would expect from a McAllister?s. I?ve already eaten here on two occasions because it?s one of the few places to eat late in the area. Good food, good people, just be patient..
We ordered dinner for three people and one did not get their Mac and cheese. The one drink we ordered was completely wrong, as well. When we tried to call the restaurant to ask about it, no one would answer the phone. Highly unprofessional.
