Regal Fish And Chips - Isle of Wight

Unfortunately, this restaurant was just average. The fish portion was surprisingly small and the batter was undercooked in some spots. The chips seemed to have been reheated and were stale. The store was clean and the staff friendly, but it was inconvenient that they only accepted cash in this day and age. The fish is freshly fried upon order, but the batter could be better. Overall, I was hoping for a more satisfying meal considering the high prices of fish and chips. This experience was for takeout service.

The parking can be a bit difficult, but the chips are great! Service for takeout is fast and friendly. The meal type is casual and prices are very reasonable, ranging from £1 to £10 per person. The food is delicious and the service is excellent, both receiving a rating of 5. The atmosphere is nice, earning a rating of 4.

The fish and chips were delicious. The staff even offered to bring the food out to my car since I was parked in a bus stop. The portions were large. I would rate the service, food, and atmosphere all as a 5 out of 5. I recommend trying the cod served with chips. The price per person is affordable, ranging from £1–10 for a takeout dinner.

The best fish and chips! Honestly the best food, all fresh and freshly cooked! We come to the island every year and this is by far the best fish and chip shop we’ve ever been too.
