We often visit this cafe, but this visit has made us think about not bothering again. We ordered drinks and a bowl of chjps. We had our drinks but no sign of chips. After more than 30 minutes waiting, having seen others that ordered after us receiving their food, we asked for a refund. This was refused, they argued about the time and were shown our debit receipt and even said they complete the bigger orders first. So don’t visit if you only want something quick because it won’t be.
The restaurant has a beautiful setting and serves delicious freshly cooked food. Jane and Eric are always cheerful and welcoming to all of their customers. Located next to the paddling pool and park, it is a fantastic place to spend a few hours. I always recommend this lovely spot.
This is our favorite spot when catching the ferry back home from Cowes. The breakfasts and breakfast rolls are delicious and reasonably priced. It's disappointing that the weather wasn't great during our visit, but the grandchildren had fun in the playground next door while we waited.
Although we miss Jane and Eric, Isu and her team are doing a superb job. We go there most days to meet up with our many friends who are regulars. The new coffee machine has improved the quality of the coffee and, contrary to some reports, the prices are exactly the same as before. The weather this year isn't helping so let's hope for an Indian Summer. The food is great, as it always was, and Isu and the staff are very friendly and always ready to help if you have any questions. Isu clearly undersatnds the East Cowes market and will only go form strength to strength in the future. Well done, Isu and the team.
