Contribuer aux commentairesWe read the reviews about this family run restaurant but can say that things are very different under the new management. They are trying to make this a gastronomic experience but fail miserably. Our meal cost twice as much as any other meal we had during our stay in Ivrea and we left feeling hungry as the portions were so small. The food was hit an miss in terms of quality... the beef and lamb was well prepared but other dishes were not good enough. There are plenty of restaurants in Ivrea with people queuing outside to find a table and we recommend that you go to one of these.
Nice location and atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of wines... But when you come to the menu, it was a disaster! We were expecting good traditional food from Piemonte, like in the past: oversized chopping boards full with prosciutto, salame, cheese... (look at the shot of the new tagliere for 15 euro! . Angus steaks, involtini della casa, speck tometta. Unfortunately it all changed for the bad side... I had a boring lombata di maiale, and my friend spaghettini al pomodoro, barely four forks full... there were nothing else on the menu, basically two primi and two secondi . and some startes. If you like nouvelle cuisine , could be for you, if you like old traditional food, then avoid. Defenetely overpriced, 90 euro, with 1 euro discount ! See shot of bill. Shame that the Morbelli family are not running this cool restaurant anymore, they were baking an amazing bread !
This place was my favorite to our trip to Ivrea. It's a bit outside of the medical town walls but it was totally worth the walk. The place has an enormous wine list probability over 5,000 bottles(price ranging 18€-over 1,000). The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even though there was a full out all the food came out in orderly timing.
