The city of Diamondhead was destined to be a resort town, with Hawaii inspired architecture, landscaping, and road names. even their logo depicts this. Take a look at the country club's swimming pool and you'll see what I'm talking about. The front nine on the Pine Course has a real resort feel to it with generous fairways and wide open landing areas. There's not a lot of trouble to get into and if you keep the ball in play, you can get off to a great start. Water is present on both par 3s but shouldn't come into play unless you're having a really bad day. The Cardinal CourseWith tree lined fairways, extra long sand bunkers, and no parallel holes, the Cardinal Course makes for a serene, peaceful round of golf. From the White Tees, the course plays 6,128 yards with a course rating of 71.0 and a slope of 128. With 4 sets of tees, there's a suitable yardage for every golfer, no matter how good or bad you are! In 2020, Hurricane Zeta hit Diamondhead, MS, and according to Food and Beverage Manager Chris Rahaim, there was extensive damage to the clubhouse, in particular, the kitchen and restaurant areas. Management chose to look on the bright side and saw this as an opportunity to do some remodeling. The result is an open air concept that is multi functional. Whether it's just your foursome or you're part of a larger golf group, the staff can easily accommodate you. The food is incredible, especially the Sunday Brunch, complete with an omelet station and Prime Rib carving station. They also do a lot of special events, including wine and bourbon tastings. Check out the website or their Facebook page for up to date information. These are just a few of the many things going on at The Club at Diamondhead. Cannot say enough about Latitude 30, great atmosphere, great food and the service is outstanding. We just love the fact that we are so close we can visit often, and we do!
At Latitudes. Mahi mahi perfectly cooked. Bar and wait staff very friendly and accommodating.
What a great golf course and country club. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the food was great! Excellent filet mignon and caesar salad! Perfectly seasoned and tender. The salad dressing was freshly made. Crusted salmon with pancetta and steamed spinach was excellent as well. Nice portion and a flavorful combination. The pancetta was a little dry though. Service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very nice with a relaxed comfortable feel. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner out. We also tried the Latitude 30 restaurant. The Grilled Mahi sandwich was very nicely done on a toasted brioche bun. The filet was thick and fresh. Served with a side of choice mine was the seasonal fruit which was fresh and a perfect pairing. Our experience was a 10 from the food quality and choices to the atmosphere and service!
We looked at the menu and decided to eat here only after the hostess told us that the grouper tacos can be substituted with grilled chicken. They didn’t have any vegetarian option or an option that wasn’t fried chicken. The hostess told us they can substitute with grilled chicken, the server took the order … but then came back and said he can’t do that… asked me why I wanted to substitute. (If you can’t accommodate why do you need to know the reason? When I said I only eat chicken and vegetarian diet.. he said he will see if they can accommodate … but then came back and said said they can’t substitute it. Customer service for sure is lacking and they don’t even know what they can and can’t do. Really not a friendly place. I canceled my entree … rest of my family ate … the food was really sub par… can’t justify the 44-55 mins it took them to prepare it. Stay away from this restaurant if you can.
