Penny Man's Diner - Johnson City

That was a nice little mother and pop restaurant. When we visited, there was only one server. He was completely overworked, but very friendly. The food was good and the prices were good.

Coffee was fine. food was fine. i felt like it took too long for my food to come out considering it was just a burger and fries. but it has a lot of charm and character and it reminds me of the days before all the chains took over, when restaurants all had their own thing going on and it was like meeting a new person. thats what pennyman's is like.

Honest food. Huge portions. Low prices. Great service. Really can't ask for better. Don't let how it looks from the outside sway you. Go on in and enjoy this awesome diner!

Great little place in Johnson City. Stopped in for breakfast 23AUG21 and has a Kitchen Sink omelet. Very good. Great service. Nice to see a 20ish year old family owned diner in Johnson City. I will be back. (Sorry, ate some before remembering to take the pic ??????????????? I was hungry ???????

The food here is delicious. It is a local greasy spoon dinner and a phenomenal. Go with the expectation of down-home cooking and you will not be disappointed. The staff is friendly, but you may have to wait longer than a chain restaurant that is good from me, as a conversation with other customers is easy to do here.
