The only thing I wish that they would cut is fresh fruits to serve instead. Otherwise, everything else is worth trying.
High marks from me Decent tea and decent people. Great local Hawaiian Black tea, served in charming mismatched china. Got a whole pot and was very glad I did. Tiny place, 4 inside tables and a couch. Great atmosphere. Light menu including one of the BEST German potato salads I've ever had. Comprehensive tea tisane selection including East Frisian tea chilled local Kombucha. Not expensive, $10 20 range only because there was just so much I wanted to try.
The plan was to have breakfast at 808 Grindz Cafe, where a lot of locals go, but we ended up at Tealicious. I had the purple tea, the yoghurt parfait with muesli, chopped fruit and honey, and a lemon cream cheese pastry. Dave had chia seed with muesli, chopped fruit and honey and the Portuguese Tart. All items were taste and tongue pleasing. I also got to hear one of the coo-coo clocks sound out 10am and got some ideas on things to do in the area from the community bulletinboard.
Today I had her fig/apple/spindle/letter sandwich on a crispy, warm butter bag. Heavenly! I could have eaten five more. It was a nice escape from the madness of the IM downtown. Ivonne and Alexa are the best team! Love this cozy, friendly place!
What a pleasure is to have such a facility here on Big Island. The owner and the staff are just great. As a coffee type, I love the coffee ice cubes! The range of treats and the selection of teas is a perfect match. I recommend this little piece of heaven.
