Nice place to relax... If you need to work on your computer or something, i think this place is perfect.

Such a kid friendly space and great coffee and treats! Really enjoy bringing my community friends here as well as visitors from out of town...Warm design and great use of space-room for grown up coffee chats as well as play dates with littles.

Santa Monica Pastry must be one of Kaiserslautern's best kept secrets, especially for families with young children! Just a couple blocks from the walk platz, this little coffee shop has excellent homemade scones, good coffee, freshly squeezed juice, an ever-changing menu of small bites and friendly, attentive, very accommodating staff. Every time I've been there, we've been very well cared for! They have a separate, spacious safe place for kids with slides, a play kitchen, a little rock wall and all manner of toys to entertain the little ones so that you can actually drink your coffee while it's hot and maybe even have an adult conversation! If you're not there with kids- no worries, there's a space for you, too! They also have normal, comfy seating at the front of the shop, perfect to settle in with a book or meet a friend. I love meeting friends at Santa Monica because I feel like I can actually exhale and enjoy getting out without the stress of keeping young children still and quiet! I imagine we'll be frequenting the coffee shop a lot more as the cold weather sets in!

My friends and I love Santa Monica! The owners and staff are pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. They are Americans who serve American style coffees and pastries as well as fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. The scones are made in-house and are to die for! As much as we love the treats, something that keeps us coming back is the spacious kids playroom in the back. It is a safe place for our kiddos to play while we enjoy "adult" time. They have slides, a ball pit, lots of toys and even a little rock climbing wall for older kids. I highly recommend this place as a hang out spot to everyone and especially to young families who might feel awkward taking their kids to other cafes.
