Rocco's - Kalkar

I visited Roccos 5 times during my 3 weeks in Germany for lunch and dinner. The food was always good, the staff was always friendly and it was always good. They also accept card that is not always the case in Germany. Definitely recommended.

Rocco is a great restaurant with authentic Italian dishes. Pizza, pasta and salads are very large. Service is very friendly.

If you are in Kalkar, you do not have so much of a choice between restaurants. Rocco’s serves fine pizza and pasta is the Italian style: fresh meat and sometimes canned vegetables. You have to talk the waiters with a salt grain. Just play with her Italian show, haha.

Surprised how busy it was on a Sunday night, but they managed to squeeze us in. Pizzas, pasta salad etc. tasted very nice. Service was ok trying to get more drinks twice, but possibly due to the language differences they never showed up. 82 euros for four large pizzas, macaroni al forno, an interesting salad and drinks. Very resonance.

Zijn hier nu binnen een maand tweemaal geweest na juist goede ervaringen met Rocco's in Emmerich. Het restaurant in Emmerich heeft nu een andere eigenaar. De eerste keer in Kalkar was de bediening zeer slecht, heel lang wachten, het verkeerde drinken bezorgen en chaotische bediening. De tweede keer was de bediening ronduit onbeschoft en weer chaotisch. We komen hier zeker niet meer terug.
