I rode all the way up to the back mountain and it was quite enjoyable. The staff are locals and the service is not like a trendy urban cafe, but they were happy to chat with me and share various information. They mentioned that their family used to run a lumber shop in the past and they built the restaurant using those materials. The restaurant was closed about 10 years ago but recently reopened. They have recently added a shower room in a separate building that can be used for 300 yen. It's quite nice to go there early in the morning by bike, have breakfast, take a shower to wash off the sweat, and then head back home.
There is a wood-fired oven outside the restaurant where pizzas are baked. Inside, it seems they offer bicycle rentals. Occasionally, they also have live music performances.
It was a wonderful restaurant filled with the warmth of handmade touches. While sipping coffee, I spent a pleasant time swaying in a hammock, surrounded by the sound of insects and the wind filtering through the woods of the zelkova wood deck. The taste of the homemade kettle-baked pizza and carefully brewed coffee by the owner still lingers in my memory. They offer seasonal limited-time menus and captivating workshops that can only be experienced here, so I look forward to visiting again to try them out.
サイクリングコースは、アップダウンがあって涙が出そうになるところもありますが、それにも勝る景色と坂道を下る爽快感~ カフェの優しいお母さんと美人のお姉さんの接客が最高でした やっぱりなんと言っても『人』ですね
