I was invited to try their new winter menu at the Christmas press party at Rydges, and decided to bring my friend T along for the experience. After a short drive to Gloucester Street, we were both delighted by the vibrant atmosphere of the Chelsea area, with groups of people in chic smoking and dresses bustling along the streets. Upon arriving at The Marmalade Restaurant, we were impressed by its modern and trendy appearance from the outside... [continue reading]
I discovered The Jam Cupboard restaurant on the Gourmet Society website while searching for a place to have a quick lunch with a friend. It can be challenging to find a budget-friendly restaurant or cafe in Gloucester Road that is not overcrowded with tourists and students. Thanks to my Gourmet Society membership, we were able to enjoy a 50% discount at The Jam Cupboard. Intrigued by the restaurant's unique name and menu, we decided to give it a try. I was impressed by the elegant decor of the small yet sophisticated restaurant. The menu offers a variety of modern European dishes, including a special lunch menu. I ordered the mozzarella, tomato, rocket, and tomato sandwich and...
Just minutes from the gloucester Metro Station and in the design inspired boutique rydges hotel. the marmalade restaurant is located in the heart of kensington and chelsea. After they were invited to try the new winter menu on the jam, and visit the Christmas press party in the rydges. it was a joy to bring my friend T. after a short drive to gloucester street we were thrilled by the uplift of being in the chelsea area. groups of people in their chic smoking and dresses strip the streets eagerly excited to get to their destinations. at the arrival in jam cabinet, the place looked like a modern trendy bar from outside, there were a few diners inside, and the place was nice and quiet. the cleverly dressed waiter welcomed us efficiently and handed over the menus. he didn't quite understand what I meant when I requested the winter menu, but we were presented with the set menu. for 2 curs meal £15.50, and 3 courses it was £19.50 [here link] I was immediately drawn to the pumpkin risotto with sage and thymian infunded olive oil. the pumpkin risotto was presented beautifully on a large white dish, which is covered with water circles above. the strong smell of Parmesan cheese, filled my nose, I could not wait to try the court. the aromatized creamy sauce and the dense texture of mushrooms, along with the sweet pumpkin, all these aromes and textures were hit on the right place that satisfy my beinge. “T” was pleasantly surprised with the black pudding croquettes with crimped mayonnaise, I agreed. the crispy croquettes, filled with black pudding the herb mayonnaise was creamy and well paired. for the net I went for pan roasted salmon with warm butter beans and garlic cassoulet and t had confit of huhn with chalk senfsauce, roasted kartoffels and delicate stem broccoli. the salmon was arranged on the bed of butter beans. light pink with crispy skin, the combination of delicate butter beans and the very rich garlic-cooked was miraculous. Finally, for dessert we had, the inner child in me had my eyes on the Sticky toffee pudding with vanille ice cream and t had chocolate mousse with winterberry compot vanille cream. the sticky toffee was presented in a small square part, with the toffee sauce, and the smell of vanilleeis met me first. vanilleeis was placed on the baked ingwerbiskuitkrümel. the cake was nice and damp, but the toffee was casual and had not tasted enough. the ice was delicious, with the commercial ice creams. I only wish there was more of the inquiries.
We loved this place. on the way to the tube station from our hotel for coffee/craissants. light, trendy decor, art and helpful staff. one of the managers gave us some excellent tips on how to talk to our sightseeing structure and was thrilled to speak.
We were here on a taste london 50% discount if we didn't, I think it would have looked at it as something on the pricy side. the total experience was good, although the truffle paste was delicious and ideal to eat comfort. everything was very beautifully presented and the house wine was beautiful. good opportunity to dinner when they are in the south ken area.
