It was recommended by some friends and it was great. I got a whole pie to go and it was great too. I had shredded chicken over biscuits and gravy with mashed potatoes and carrots.
Really great fresh home style prepared food at very affordable prices. I deliberately take this route to New York City to eat here. Every time I do, I sit at the counter, as I am typically traveling alone. Every time I have to wait an inordinate amount of time to be served. I am always here between 3pm and 5pm not a busy time. There always seems to be plenty of staff, though they are not focused on serving. Perhaps, they are exhausted from an earlier busy period. The pot roast is highly recommended and the baked goods look great! PS the place is immaculately clean, including the restrooms.
Open face Roast beef was tasty and tender. Coconut cream pie for dessert!
Good home cooked meals. Economical, good food, great desserts, and great staff. Good little spot.
