Lovely meals generous portions and very fast service even though cafe was 2/3 full. The coffee was good and hot, the fish was moist, the chips were crisp and the chicken burger had proper juicy chicken not a dry flat patty

Stopped by, wasn’t hungry but had to buy something so got the hot chips. Nice and crunchy, the spot and place is very nice. It’s cozy the fireplace was going and the view of the lake and the old station is quite unique. Would definitely come back for a proper meal.

Straight forward pub food good, fast service, plenty of it. The coffee machine was turned off at 7pm although they don't close until 9pm. Tells you about their priorities! Place was full with a cheer ambience on a Thursday night at holiday time.

Chanced upon this place by accident, and got lucky because the steam train was in service! Got to see a steam train in real life. The Apple cider was good, and pizza was pretty good as well. Other than that, just a straightforward cafe.

I don't know what the person who gave a bad review before me was about, cause he didn't specify anything, but we loved it! The food was great, the service was amazing. Helpful, kind and welcoming. Atmosphere was awesome too, just a pity there was quite a bit of sandflies outside as it was a lovely area and day to hang out outdoors. We've been given a citronella candle but gave up and went inside in the end. Highly recommend, great local beers too.
