The lamb is fantastic and a must have. They have healthier kids options than a lot of other restaurants. Claire is a fantastic server. Will certainly visit again if in the area.
Very good. Great tomato bisque and sandwich. Come here when you can. So good and high quality.
People of color beware- you 'll be treated like a second class patron. Even though your money is the same color, you are not seen as the same as then. Expect to see white parsons get served first, and expect for you to wait at least twice as long as them. That was our experience. Didn 't get menus when we arrived, was told by Luke we should wait for server (it was him) as he arrived 10 mins later asking us what we wanted without a menu). After ordering, waited 45 minutes in a near empty restaurant for even just bread (he told us it was in the oven after 30 minutes). We paid for the drinks plus 20% tip (even though the cocktail was gross and we left them) so they couldn 't blame our color for lack of tip. When we left we told a different server that we were leaving and left drink money on table and leaving bc we were hungry. They just said oh ok . No apologies. And so beware to all people of color- step in here and you 'll step back in the segregation times too.
People of color beware- you will be treated as a second class patron!! We entered right after an Anglo-Canadian couple came in. They were given menus. We were told by the server that someone would be with us shortly and didn 't serve us menus or water. After 10 minutes waiting, the same gentleman arrived and asked us what we wanted to drink. We placed two drink orders and asked for menus. He apologized and brought them to us. We ordered and after 30 mins of no food (Anglo couple had already began eating their food), we asked if we can at least get bread. He said it 's in the oven. the Cocktail (whiskey sour) didn 't even taste like a whiskey sour. After 45 minutes we paid for the two drinks plus $5 tip and started to leave without drinking the drinks. We told another wait staff that we Paid for drinks on table but given we didn 't get even bread after nearly an hour that we were heading to another restaurant to eat. Nobody even apologized to us. of they were busy we would 've even understood but it was obvious this was a discriminatory act (or a total incompetent server, or both).
The staff is friendly and accomodating, the service is quick and accurate, and my meal was incredible! The broccoli soup was unlike any I have tasted, my fillet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the triple chocolate filled lava cake dessert was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and would return without a second thought.
