It seemed like there was no staff around in the morning, and we were made to feel like a burden when we went for breakfast because we were the only guests that day. The breakfast was hot but lacked flavor and felt more focused on presentation than being filling. I tried to reach out via email about the issues with the shower and TV, but I have not received a response yet. I would not recommend this place, especially considering the high price and additional charge for bringing a dog.
Rude staff. On the 2nd of march, we went to celebrate a birthday and we experienced rude, confrontational and aggressive tones from 2 members of staff. An older man and a younger girl with pink hair.
I can't believe we were charged £23 for 1 double gin and tonic, 1 single gin and tonic, and 1 pint of Victoria. It's disgraceful. We live in Cumberworth and always visit this pub when we're in Holmfirth, but we won't be coming back again.
Absolutely shocking as regards waiting for food served. Took 50 minutes for pizza to arrive without the fries ordered at the same time. Don't ask me when fries arrived... left after eating pizza, around 10 minutes! Never again!!!!
This restaurant is fantastic, with great drinks and the best in the area. The atmosphere is good, but my only complaint is that it is owned by the brewery next door. In the past year, prices have increased dramatically, which I believe is not justified. Other breweries, such as Bradfield, have not raised their prices nearly as much. I think greed may be a factor here. It's no wonder more and more pubs are closing, as it is much cheaper now to drink at home.
