The Railway - Kirklees

A group of friends and I visited this restaurant when it was not very busy. It was a charming and cozy pub with a great atmosphere. We had a fantastic time, and Sadie, our server, was extremely friendly and attentive.

Very friendly atmosphere, plenty of entertainment going on, large choice of beers and lagers. Chatted with landlady and Barney who were friendly and welcoming.

Had the privilege to sample bits from thier menu yesterday, absolutely fantastic. Claire’s (guest chef) cooking skills added to the hospitality of all the staff and landlady of the Railway was exceptional Our first time at the pub and were made to feel like it was our local. Already planning to return shortly.

We dined at this restaurant after a swim in Sparth with a group of 20 people. The landlady accommodated our specific requests, and the service was excellent. The food was served hot and delicious. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon.

Great to be served fresh food piping hot. Friendly atmosphere and good choices on menu. Good value. Looking forward to the next visit
