I wrote the same thing on my Yelp review for Stir Fry. So, if you thought you'd already seen this ... you did. I ordered takeout from here tonight and it was terrible. The only reason I gave them a 1.0 is because 1) I had to give a rating and 2) my food was actually hot which is, sadly, the only positive thing about my order. I ordered Pud Thai, (Stir Fry Cafe's version of Pad Thai) a dish I used to get frequently at this location and the (old) Turkey Creek location (God rests it's soul), and it USED to be incredible. My best description of this dish NOW, is that it taste like peanut butter mixed with Ragu spaghetti sauce, add chicken and eggs and viola!...you have Stir Fry Cafe's Pud Thai. Additionally, I ordered their version of Tom Kha Soup (Thai coconut soup---also a favorite of mine). It was so hot (spicy) that I couldn't consume any more than the one spoonful I had from coughing SO much. I almost cried from the spice, sadness, and disappointment. If it were a cup o' joe I could just pour it out but, I can't. We'd be taking about a $20 cup of coffee if that were the case. How would I be able to justify that? HOW!? I am deeply saddened by my experience with Stir Fry Cafe! It used to be a staple in my quarterly restaurant rotation. Sadly, yet respectfully, I hope they get it together because I think they could, once again, become Knoxville's favorite spot for fusion Asian cuisine. I know it would be mine. #wishfulthinking.

The food is decent. The decor is interesting. The problem is the service. We've been here several times when craving decent sushi during their half price specials and several times on days without the special. Even at 2 in the afternoon we're waiting a minimum of 30 minutes to get our food when the place is practically empty with multiple servers. So if you're going to come, you better be prepared to wait for your food, for drink refills, and for your check.
This is a very bad place to select for dinner. Service is awful. Food is mediocre at best. And it's expensive! Tonight I ordered sushi, waited 30 minutes and they brought it out without ginger. When I requested ginger, they stated they were out of ginger. I think they might have mentioned that at the time of my order. I politely declined dinner and went elsewhere.
