We came here 4 ppl for dinner, friendly service but lacked after the resursbt was pretty packed during the evening, hard to get eye contact with the servers not that it is bad, just being more aware thats all. Starters with lobster was cooked perfect and 488gr. Rid eye steak medium rare was also grilled to perfection. Homemade sayce bearnaise and fries, tomato salad with parmasan. Food was delicious just service could have been more effective and attentive as well.
Preordered efterårsmeny. Attentive service by smiling waitress. The food was very good, the english preordered menu said tenderloin, but served «mørbrad», but the meet was tender and had a good taste. But The meny should be updated!!! Dessert pear belle Helene was very nice. The service was very good all the way through our meal! Nice small venue, brasserie style.
Whilst I cannot deny that the food was good, our service was somewhat lacking for the prices of the food. At first, our waiter seemed to have no inclination of wanting to be near us to take our order, rushing through the process. All was well though, our food came out and was delicious however once we were done our empty plates sat infront of us for 10-15 minutes whilst servers were chatting behind the bar paying absolutely no attention to the customers. The restaurant was not busy, and there was perhaps 10 tables in with (what I counted) 6 servers. When our bill did come out, there was a 25% service charge added. Whilst I am not adverse to tipping, adding a quarter of the bill seems to be somewhat excessive for the service that we did receive. Overall was not an enjoyable experience and will not be back sadly.
We had heard great things about the food at this restaurant so decided to check it out while staying in Copenhagen. We were greeted by a lovely blonde lady when we arrived, but that is where the good service ended. The food was good, but the steak tenderloin (340Kr/65USD) was fatty given the cut, and was severely undercooked when asked for well done, the steak was medium rare at best. The macaroni and corn sides are good but very small for $10/55kr. I never write reviews but what has compelled me is the rude and arrogant waiter. He was blunt and was unapologetic when the steak was undercooked and side dishes were forgotten. It took 15 minutes to clear our plates when we had all finished and we’re wanting dessert. We decided not to have dessert given how long it took to clear the plates. The worst part was when we received the check and we inquired to the 140kr water as we are not from the area and didn’t understand why there would be a charge for tap water. He rudely told us that it had been like that for 10 years and that’s just how it is. When we told him we wanted to split the bill he said ‘I have other customers to serve, I don’t have time to stand here while you work out the bill’. Surely the most important part of a waiters job is receiving the payment? We couldn’t believe a waiter would speak so rudely especially given were were the largest group in his section and had ordered nearly 15,00kr worth of food. Terrible service and quite frankly the waiter should of been apologising, not so arrogant. We ate Monday 14th November 2022, sat near the bar on the furthest table against the wall. The waiter had dark brown hair and was of average size. If you’re seated in his section, run!
