We were greeted by a warm smile and an owner who spoke good English. He explained the menu to us and mentioned that the sandwiches could be served hot or cold which felt refreshing because I didn't seem to enjoy the cold German sandwiches. He also made sure that we had access to the free wifi which was quite good. My girlfriend got the classic German breakfast which came with cheese, meat, marmalade and bread. I opted for the chicken pesto sandwich on focaccia bread served hot which was excellent. I would not hesitate to come back here again for a relaxed morning breakfast. This is a great place for English speaking travelers.
My daughter and I spent three days in Cologne and this was the best place we found to eat. It is worth seeking out. It is clean and has a lovely interior, the staff speak good English and are so friendly and helpful explaining to us all the food available. We had the homemade quiche and filled baguette (sorry I know that's French but you know what I mean!) and they were delicious. First and only place in Germany I found decaff coffee and it was great. We will be regular visitors to Koln as my daughter is joining the uni in the autumn and we will be making a bee-line for this great little eaterie. Thank you for making us so welcome.
A world away from the hustle and bustle of central Cologne lies this quiet and ultra cool coffee shop. You are metres away from what appears to be the busiest street in the city, with chain store after chain store, but this cafe seems like there is a protective bubble around it, shielding you from the busy pedestrian traffic. As you step inside the place has a clean refreshing atmosphere, quirky decor and super friendly staff. The menu is small but wow it packs a punch! The coffee is full of flavour and the sandwiches, on a choice of focaccia or bruschetta (I'd recommend the focaccia) are massive!! My girlfriend had the salami and I had the mozzarella on focaccia..simply put..the best sandwich I've had since a trip to NYC in 2012!!Super friendly staff, great tasting coffee and value for money. I'm only in town for 4 days but I'll be back again before I fly home!
Our company recommended this cafe as one of the lunch place hence a group of us visited. Friendly & cheerful owner whom speak good English. Sandwich are freshly made upon ordering. Salad is fresh too. Price is cheap for the large portion. Will visit again when I'm back to Cologne.
I put this rating because I explicitly came here to eat soup but there were any. Besides that it is a nice place to stop by and eat a fresh sandwich
