Although this restaurant serves meat, vegetarian dishes are prominent and are the only ones represented in pictures on the wall. the owner pair prepares all dishes from ground so that eating takes half an hour to prepare, but the result is amazing. her fermented mustard was the best dish we had in a year. the kartoffelcurry and the aubergine curry were both delicious and tasted quite different. the pumpkin soup looked boring, but was intensely tasteful and absolutely delicious. a truly authentic and tasty burmese restaurant.

Overall, a really authentic and delicious Burmese restaurant.
We stayed at the nearby Pitiusas resort for 9 days and ended up eating at Forever restaurant twice or even three times every day. The food was fresh, tasty, varied and reasonably priced. Most mains come with rice, so end up being more satisfying than you might think. The service was lovely, the family is very friendly and eager to please. The many Burmese style salads were delicious (remember to ask for “no fish sauce” and some of the simplest mains were the most tasty, particularly the tofu curry and the potato curry. Vegans and those with other dietary requirements need to be clear when ordering (eg. “no milk”, “no egg”, “no fish sauce” as several of the vegetarian dishes contain egg by default, and many of the salads are seasoned with fish sauce by default, but we didn’t have any issues if we were clear when we ordered. Note: directions to find the restaurant are given in the previous review.
Had a mango salad and eggplant curry which were both good, maybe not the most flavourful we’ve had in Thailand, but yummy, fresh and pretty cheap.
We were pleasantly surprised that we can get traditional Burmese tea leaf salad here which is our favorite. The food was tasty, the portions rather small however. We really enjoyed the pumpkin curry, the salad's taste was a bit different than what we are used to (peanuts not toasted enough, a bit too sour and not that spicy). Overall good experience but also a bit pricey considering the main dishes is like 1 scoop of food . #Veganuary Updated from previous review on 2023-01-06
