In addition to the preference for a particular beer, I also distinguish the atmosphere of the restaurant concerned and the occasion of the visit. For me, only the “small card” comes into question in all the restaurants: Mettbrötchen, Halver Hahn (Käse and Röggelchen , Strammer Max or other Rhenish tapas. Because it is creepy to me why so many guests order normal dish dishes (steak, poultry, vegetables, etc.; for that I only go to appropriate dining rooms. But for beer the little things should be already present and neat. With two acquaintances, I have visited a number of brewhouses over a manageable period (about a month to come to a recommendation. Ambiente/Atmosphere The guild in the cinnamon is a large brewhouse. We were there in the late afternoon and out there were almost all places occupied – it was also nice weather. The new guild has been opened in the cinnamon since 2009. On four levels and two terraces, up to 1,000 people can be found in a modern but typical wooden brewhouse. Everything is very clean and tidy. But there was no right mood for us. Sure, it is much more cozy with a larger group in the vault cellar. There are also the groups that join the “Kölner Brauhaus Wanderweg” with guided tour. The place is very nicely decorated, the staff (Laura) was very friendly and attentive, despite the urge and volume. The food was very delicious and the portions pleasantly large. My wife and daughter were thrilled. We can only recommend the restaurant and look back at our next visit to Cologne. Go on
Great satisfaction. In addition to the food, the refreshing style of the Gasthof Architecture is mentioned here. A cellar recalls the late Renaissance, paired with playful glass elements, is simply a eye-catcher!
