Guided by the lively chatter of a long line of cheerful customers (our second sense), we followed our noses to the Pretzel World stand, where our eyes (the third sense) landed on an enticing display. Upon arriving, we were met with a tempting variety of pretzel flavors, and we debated which one to choose. Should we opt for something savory? Or perhaps sweet? A pizza pretzel caught our attention, or maybe a classic cheese pretzel? A chocolate-covered option? The choices were almost overwhelming, but we finally settled on the Dutch Chocolate pretzel. An enthusiastic staff member greeted us, sharing in our excitement about our choice. We attentively watched as another team member dipped our warm, soft, freshly baked pretzel in melted chocolate and coated it with colorful sprinkles (kudos to the service for this delightful touch). By this point, we were absolutely drooling. As it came time to indulge, our fourth sense, touch, offered a delightful experience. My fingers were coated in chocolate as they embraced the warm, soft pretzel. Finally, we reached the fifth sense—taste—and it was nothing short of heavenly. The chocolate was richly flavored, gooey, and oh-so-Dutch. The pretzel itself was fresh and pillowy, and I found myself wishing I could relive that experience all over again. Can you tell I’m a fan of sweets? After my time at Pretzel World, all I can say is that I wish there were more locations closer to home. To be honest, I might just finish off the entire stand without a second thought! The one-hour drive out there is undoubtedly worth it. I would return just for another bite of that pretzel. I only sampled one of their flavors, but they have plenty more options that I need to try. I will definitely be returning for more!
You have to try the 'Moscow Glaze'—it's the perfect spot to indulge after a day of shopping. The staff is fantastic and offers quick service. I always stop by Pretzel World to grab some treats for the rest of my family!
It’s the smell of the pretzels that gets to me, tempting me every time I go to Southland. I can even smell it from 1 floor above the shop! My usual order here is the Italiano pretzel, it’s toasted warm, the dough is soft and flavourful with pizza sauce. The perfect snack to get if you’re feeling a little peckish. Unfortunately price has increased since I first purchased from pretzel world.
You can see the chefs preparing the dough fresh every day and the smell in that part of Southland is amazing. The dessert pretzels are the best, especially the cinnamon sugar. It's simple but lets the dough shine, which is light, fluffy and soft!
