Nicksons Eatery - La Grange

It was my first time to eat here. I made the reservation based on the location to meet a friend of mine for dinner. Our server was very attentive and pleasant to speak. The only complaint we had was when their orders came. She ordered a side salad as her first course and the crab cake as her main course, but they came out with my duck at the same time.

My favorite place to eat in town, but since the pandemic it wasn't the same. I want to support them and always get a good service from Jenny, but the food is too salty and the stand in which we sat had tape on the pillow to hold it together. I understand the limited menu and think that is an intelligent idea, while the number of diners is lower. I hope they can change something soon.

Very attentive staff, very courteous with the adjustment of my meal as well as I am vegan. The best was delicious!

Nickson is a great place to go for exceptional food and friendly service. We started the soup, my advice is ALWAYS with her soup. Then we ordered crab cakes that had the most crispy and lightest bread and a side salad. My husband ordered the prawn poor boy for his duck and I had the beef breeze grilled cheese. I can only say: DELISH!

Nickson's has always been one of my very favorite local restaurants, whether we are there for a casual meal or to celebrate with family and friends. The service staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive. The cocktail and wine list always have interesting options for a good value, and the menu is fantastic I have 4 5 favorites on the Nickson's menu, and if I order something I haven't had, I end up loving that dish as well. Great restaurant!!!
