Encantada Tulum Restaurant

Le restaurant de cet hôtel nous avait été conseillé et nous avons été déçus par ce dînerC'est un bel endroit , la décoration de l'hôtel est soignée, moderne, plutôt luxueuse et nous pensions faire un bon repas mais le restaurant est assez petit, sombre (nous avons dû utiliser la torche de nos portables pour lire la carte...), les bougies c'est bien mais il faut pouvoir y voir un minimum ! Les plats sans beaucoup de saveur ni d'originalité pour le prix que nous avons payé ! Le serveur était très gentil mais cela ne suffit pas...

We were lucky enough to stay at the Encantada for almost a week this winter so we ate at this restaurant regularly. The restaurant looks very simple and at first we were a little apprehensive. But don't let looks fool you. Especially at dinner when the restaurant is filled with candles and is absolutely gorgeous. The service is outstanding. We got to know Carlos and Alfredo the best. Carlos handled breakfast and lunch perfectly. He kept the coffee flowing, made sure that all of our little requests were handled and even brought our meals to us when we wanted. We figured out that breakfast on our deck was awesome in the warm sun so Carlos would deliver our breakfast and even include a second cup of coffee to make sure we had everything we needed. Carlos brought lunch down the the beach and again made sure we had everything we needed. For dinner, Alfredo steered us to the best choices and did a great job explaining the history and authenticity of the food we were enjoying. This was real Mayan cuisine and was absolutely delicious. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

We are so glad that we were recommended to eat at Encantada because we never would have known to go here (even our taxi didn't know where the hotel/restaurant was!). The traditional Mexican food was absolutely delicious. I'm coeliac, so have to eat gluten free - all of the options on the menu were gluten free - so I ate the enchiladas which were so so tasty. By far our best meal. Our waiter (I sadly can't remember his name) was very kind and spoke great English. He even gave us some tequila on the house! Definitely eat here if you can!

Food at Encantada was excellent. Loved the home made tortillas in the enchiladas. My husband said their grilled octopus was the best he had tasted. We ate there 7 days out of 10. Service was also fabulous.

We loved our dinner here at Encantada. It is an adorable little resort and has delicious tortilla soup! The service was good and the quality of food excellent.
