Katsu Ramen - Lafayette

I sat at the bar to watch the anime at this restaurant. I ordered shrimp shumai, tonkatsu ramen, a rainbow roll, and a matcha milk tea with brown sugar jellies. The waitress mentioned that the ramen broth was simmered for about 8 hours, although she wasn't entirely sure. She also advised against getting the tonkatsu ramen because it wasn't spicy, suggesting the garlic ramen or spicy miso ramen instead since they all used the same broth. The ramen turned out to be underwhelming for a ramen bar, lacking complexity and flavor. The soft-boiled eggs and noodles were good, but the broth was bland and the chasu was tough. The rainbow roll had a strange imprint and was served with a cherry tomato and parsley, and the sushi overall was disappointing with cold rice and sparse fish. The shrimp shumai tasted frozen. The highlight of the meal was the matcha milk tea with jellies.

I often come to this restaurant with my friends because the ramen is delicious and full of flavor. We especially enjoy the juicy pork buns. It is definitely the best ramen in Lafayette. I highly recommend trying the spicy miso ramen!

The service at this restaurant is extremely attentive and the food is delicious. The juicy pork bun is a standout dish, and the beef ramen is truly amazing.
