Portofino's Italiano - Lagos

Cozy restaurant, nice food, friendly staff. We both had a starter, the chicken from my husband was very nice. I had a bruschetta, it was tasty but in proportion with the bread there was not much tomato on it. We both had pasta, both were very tasty.

Went in on a Saturday early evening about 6ish. Went inside to get a table and the only one on offer was by toilets at back with no view. All tables except one empty inside and was told all reserved. There was 6 of us and the only 6 table inside was the one offered. My wife wanted to eat there so we ended up outside which can get quite windy. Also ordered a bottle of rose which we had on a previous lunch time. Brought a different bottle and we told the waiter it was not the right one and showed him again on the menu to which he replied that it was. I had taken a photo of the previous one because we liked it so much so showed the waiter. He then went and got the correct one but tried to tell us it was the same wine in both different bottles! . Guess what nobody turned up for those reserved tables before we left! So i would imagine they can not be bothered to move a two seater and a four seat table together and also do not trust the waiters!

Have been frequenting the restaurant for a while. Staff changed recently, and served a pizza with dough un cooked. Returned the pizza and they re-cooked to only return with un cooked dough again?How can an Italian restaurant not know how to cook a pizza? They waived the charge of my pizza, sadly I can't recommend d this to my fellow friends who live in Lagos

Food was bland, maitre d was very rude, not a pleasant experience at all. View was only good thing. Will look at reviews in future.

Sad really that Portofinos has disapproved so much in less than a year. I should have read tge up to date reviews. Service was excellent, food was not. Maybe it's hard to get a proper chef during the busy times. Will try again off peak ... maybe. Fresh vegetables and fish are surely a basic requirement.
