Per l’ordinazione ci confrontiamo con tre persone diverse. Alla fine riusciamo ad ordinare una birra Ichnusa in bottiglia (la pizzeria non ha birra alla spina , un’acqua gas, una bruschetta classica (banale ed un assaggio di panelle (buone . A seguire prendiamo due pizze (una “Lampedusa” – voto 7 e una “Parma” voto 6+ che non ci hanno folgorato ma neppure deluso. Servizio un po’ confusionario. Rapporto qualità/prezzo accettabile.
Buona la pizza lampedusana cotta in forno a legna. Servizio sufficiente, da rivedere in cassa. La serata ventosa non ha giovato alla cena all'esterno
Lots of outdoor seating near a piazza where you can here dine live music play some evening in the summertime. The food coming from the kitchen all looks good, especially the pizzas. I started with a seafood antipasto which was made up of a few smoked slices of tuna and swordfish, some mussels, a marinated piece of mullet I believe some octopus salad. Anyway, it was all pretty good. My main course was stuffed grilled calamari (squid). Stuffed with a tasty breadcrumb filled and grilled, slightly charred, the way I like it, and also very good. A glass of wine and a bottle of sparkling water with a Sicilian salad of chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onion, olives capers rounded out my meal. Nothing wrong with this place and it’s in the middle of town near all. I’ve had better but otherwise quite enjoyable.
It took 20 min to get a drink, one hour for a simple starter (one was missing completely) and 2 HOURS for our pizza's to arrive. No apologies from staff whatsoever. Food quality was good.
My family thoroughly enjoyed L'ancora. A couple of pizzas, house wine and a salad and we were set. It offered the perfect change of pace from the amazing, however, far more complicated food we had enjoyed on vacation for a few weeks. Just go and relax and enjoy solid food. Remember when ordering anything with mozarella that this is flown in and not the same luscious globes you get elsewhere in southern Italy, Sicily included.
