The caesar salad tasted like Renée's, so could've been made at home for $2 instead of $9. The $17 pasta was overcooked. One friend ordered tiramisu, which we all tried, just to corroborate that it was as horrible as she thought. And it was... a weird combination of what tasted like sour whipped cream and too-strong coffee. It was never taken off the bill. Also, they wouldn't split the bill up per couple, which is annoying in this day and age. Then at the end of the meal, the owner came over and gave us a great big lecture about why credit card rewards aren't worth pursuing. Seriously!?Add that to the flies buzzing around us all night that no one made any effort to get rid of, and I won't be returning.
Considering that this is a small town restaurant, it serves great food!! It has a great quiet atmosphere and the service was terrific.
Found this place by accident on our way home from work and what a treasure it is...promised to go back appropriately dressed and did. The food is soooo good, and not inexpensive, but worth every cent. It's Italian, of course, and a rather nice atmosphere. Yes, only one Chef and one server, but it's Langdon, not a big place at all, but my goodness the food is good and nicely presented. Because the Chef is not hidden away we were able to thank him for his food on our way out, which seemed to please him. And bring your patience with you if the place is busy...only one guy, but the wait is most certainly worth it. Think I'll go there again this weekend.
Don't get me wrong the food was good but it certainly wasn't 50 bucks good in any way shape or form. I've been blown away by Italian places before but sadly this isn't one of them.
I recently went to the Il Brico for my birthday dinner with my extended family. We had reservations for many days so they should have been. Prepared. The service was untrained and slow. Some meals were cold. The pasta may have been homemade but was certainly overlooked. The lobster ravioli was fishy. Portions were small and presentation lacking. For $25-30 entries it is very poor value. Do not get the tiramisu which is homemade there. It was sent back for being soggy and tasteless. I am not a foodie and have never complained at a restaurant before but the only redeeming part of the restaurant is the nice location.Calvin
