"Used to be one of my go to quick places because the falafel wraps are so good! I wish they had things that were gluten free but they use a shared fryer!"

"Recently changed owners. Gyoza seemed like something you would get in a box from Costco. Got a salmon avocado roll for $8 with farmed salmon. California roll is mostly rice. Caterpillar roll was lacking flavour. Wasabi in a package and no ginger. If you want manufactured sushi but actually want to enjoy it go next door to Thrifty Foods."

"My partner and I tried Akemi Sushi just the other day. What attracted us to this sushi restaurant were the unique menu items -- ones we haven't seen in any other sushi establishment we've been to.The restaurant itself is clean, modern and spacious. We were greeted and promptly seated! We ordered a number of items: Salmon Nigiri; Kani (real crab meat!); Crab Gyoza; Halibut Cheek Tempura; Grilled Black Cod in sweet miso; Grilled Scallops and fried banana tempura. All items were fresh and, when necessary, served hot.We really appreciated the fact that this place uses real crab as opposed to the imitation stuff. It was also a treat to see unique items on the menu like halibut cheeks (beautifully cooked) and not-so-common items like black cod (a beautiful, rich fish, often difficult to do well).Given our cumulative experience, we will definitely be back!"
