So, how to find a nice steak place all ages in our family would enjoy, at a decent price? Look it up online, of course, just like you are! The rating system doesn't do credit to our meal you don't want anyone to think it's too posh to try, and you don't want someone to try it and wonder why anyone would rate a place with old fashioned rice pilaf and garlic bread your parents or grandparents will love all over again as a 5 star place...but don't be deceived okay? Been all over the place eaten all over the world. It's been a good long time since I had TWO things this place has cornered the market on a steak that made me wonder if I even had to chew (SOOOOOO tender and utterly delicious) and fun wait staff who made us feel at home.If you remember Steak Oscar, or long for a really good New York Strip under $22, or even if you have a loved one who always liked a visit to the salad bar you should give this unassumingly lovely restaurant a chance. Worth the drive across the river everyone in the family has asked when we can go back!!
This place is FABULOUS! Totally old school salad bar and good, wholesome food. Super affordable, and the staff are amazing! We went two nights in a row!
The only steakhouse we go to.. Venetis has the best steak around. Not just in Langley, but in the lower mainland. Their steaks are very well priced. $15 on average for an aged AAA beef steak. My favorite is the Steak Diane. Tender and delicious. They have a salad bar, which is wonderful when dining with children who like to eat immediately. Their salads are all wonderful, and they make their own dressings! The thermidor is great, and they have some pleasing schnitzels and chicken dishes as well. The staff is very nice and friendly. This is just a great family restaurant, sure some of the decor is outdated and there are no windows, so it feels a bit mobster-ish, but we find it charming!
Great food, great staff and an overall great experience!. I came to Venetis Restaurant after reading some of the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I arrive on a Saturday and was greeted by the kind hostess at the front. After mentioning that I did not have a reservation (there was a line up) she advised me that it would be roughly 10-15mins. After my short wait, I was sat in a nice corner and received my menu, CHEAP CHEAP prices! Steak and Lobster for $22.95... the same exact meal was priced at the KEG for $45+ EXCLUDING salad. After being advised that they are 'well known ' for steaks I ordered the steak and lobster and was told it came with salad bar. Simple and tasty pasta salads which were all 'homemade '. When I ask for a streak medium rare I expect it medium rare and well it came exactly how I wanted it... served with a baked potato and all the trimmings. The food was delicious and I don 't get why people claim its bland and mushy... this restaurant which I 'm assuming is family run has been around for 30+ years (as per the Langley times newsletter in the front entrance) if their food was so horrible then how are they still around? I will be back and I assure you all that the staff was VERY friendly and prompt in their service. This place is truly a hidden gem!
Had the best Steak and garlic prawns tonight!!! $15.99!!!! The salad bar is great too!!! I give the place a 9/10 :
