We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and enjoyed a delightful dinner with friends. The service was phenomenal, especially from Jessica who took great care of us. Our food arrived promptly and every bite was delicious. Overall a great experience. 4 out of 5 stars.
I've been eating regularly in Kostas for years. I felt like Calamari and ordered for the departure. I was told 30 minutes and I came to pay 10 minutes early. Eating was ready and when I went home (4 minutes drive) it was luke-warm. I noticed there were new owners, but kept an open mind because you never know. The Kalamari was terrible. Bland and hard. Not gumy, but hard, as if it were precooked and cooked again? The rice tastes like a package. The consistency and taste give it away. The potatoes were tasty and so were the Tzatziki and the Pita. I never go back. I loved Kostas so dissatisfied. They also use the flyer from the outset, who voted best in Langley, but stopped over some things and darkened others. This Kostas would best be chosen by NIE in Langley. The new owner must make some changes or it will not be long, even with the purchase of the Kostas name.
Meal was okay, but nothing great. Directly sunk in the middle of the room in the front door, although the restaurant was not very busy. The prices are good.
My wife and I decided to give Kostas a try on Friday night, as I had not been there in over five years. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the poor quality of the food. The saganaki was the only dish that we enjoyed. However, the dolmades and garlic prawns were not tasty, with the prawns clearly being frozen before being cooked, resulting in a bad taste. The lamb and chicken skewers also tasted rubbery, indicating that everything may be frozen and not fresh. The portion sizes were also small, adding to our disappointment. Living in Langley, we know there are much better options for Greek food and we will not be returning to Kostas.
