Lake Bogue Homa - Laurel

The road was closed, so we were unable to see or access the lake.

Just got boat in water. Be careful to navigate this lake with caution unless you know the lake , lake is shallow for the most part in 80% of the surface area averages about 5 to 6 ft , alot of stumps just under the surface in areas mainly towards the north and in the back of the lake ask a local where the channel is to save your motor from damages . The fishing is lacking by far the mwfd could really put some kind of effort into stocking this lake more .. Arkansas blues catfish would be a great choice for a lake of this size .

This restaurant is a great spot for fishing or simply relaxing, but the docks are in need of repair. The boards feel flimsy.

It's such a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

I grew up by Bogue Homa lake and has been years since I have been back to the area. Payed a visit to the lake yesterday and was disappointed. Lake could be one of the best money producers in the state if properly maintained and managed. After speaking with some locals apparently the state property has been mismanaged for many years. This could be a great RV park and recreational Area if the state put some funding and hired a professional manager. There's little or no facilities for general use at all. Hope the chief of the state parks can do something?
