We arrived at the Woolpack at 12:10pm as we were booked for 12:30pm to find the pub closed, we waited in the car park several people gave up waiting left eventually a female turned up 12:25 they managed to open the door eventually only bar person chef in the building I said we have a table for 3 she replied saying just sit where you like the tables had reserved on them we found ours we went to the bar to order as obviously no table service to be told coffee machine broken then asked where to order food she said here so asked what meats ? oh forgot to ask I’ll check and came back to say beef or pork ! No chicken or Turkey she said we usually do but we have ran out of food , we had our 85 year old mother with us who doesn’t eat beef or pork , I explained that they should not be taking bookings if this was the offer/service they was offering and that our day was spoilt as we wasn’t going to be eating in there our whole experience was shocking I asked to be called by the owner left my number but heard nothing from her .
Food was OK, beef was pretty dry Parsnips very hard. Everything else was nice but to say it was quiet, the food quality wasn't great tbh. Excellent service from staff, very nice friendly.
