De retour 3 ans plus tard - toujours aussi petit et bondé (donc réservez à l'avance), mais aussi le même personnel de service super excellent et les plats délicieux et délicieux.
Je pense que c'était l'une des meilleures expériences de notre voyage en France.
We are in Avignon in August. Needless to say most restaurants were closed for the August holidays. A friend of mine suggested Le 119 in Les Angles. I was not expecting much. What a surprise. It was delicious. Just what we needed after a long day of sight seeing. The owner/chef, Didier suggested the mixed grill for me as I was not too hungry and the Cote de Boeuf for my husband who loves his beef. Both were simply prepared and delicious. We ended our meal with the creme brule and headed back to the house pleasantly satisfied. We will be back before we leave.
Restaurant le 119 is situated a little surprisingly behind the French equivalent of the UK's B&Q do-it-yourself store "Weldom" on the outskirts of the Centre L'Eclerc shopping mall. Didier and Caroline, the owners, are wonderful hosts. They are joined by Richard an exceptionally talented chef who creates sumptuous dishes based on locally sourced and mostly organic produce. He is assisted by Doris, his new sous-chef, and Babette who is the restaurants lovely and helpful waitress. Exceptionally good local wines - rosé, red and white are served by the glass or bottle. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Much better than anything you will find in nearby Avignon and half the price!
