I was told by a pool guy that iron would turn it orange. We are upset by his attitude more than anything else. The workers at the front desk continue on a personal call why she made us wait. The coffee pit didn't work, no toilet paper. Terrible service, terrible owner. Also, the owner cuts you every time You tried to explain something, not good business.
This was over a year ago, so maybe things were different for 2023, but this place left me with an odd taste in my mouth. The whole experience was very uneven. A group of us stayed in the on-course house and I can't say enough good things about that place. Spacious old school house with game room, etc. Incredibly convenient being right on the course. Things were weird from the beginning though when they would not let me pay for my golf/lodging with a gift card that I'd been given as a gift. Didn't seem to make any sense, but whatever, I'd be needing it for food, drinks, etc. anyway. Well, every time I tried to use it at the bar, restaurant, etc., it was a huge issue. They would need to call someone and go through a huge rigamarole to get this card to work to the point that it made me feel bad for wanting to use my card-which would have been not an issue at all if they would have just let it go towards my room/golf. It really made no sense. I got the feeling that the place is not very organized and that there are various parties at work that are not all on the same page. I also felt overwhelmingly that since we were a group of out of town guys renting the house, they automatically assumed that we were going to trash the place and cause problems. I felt tolerated more than welcomed. They didn't seem to want us to be there, much less have a good time. It's little things-like I understand if you want to be sticklers about bringing your own beer on the course (they sticker every can to make sure it's legit). Most courses have a gentleman's agreement that you buy some, you bring some. But if you want to be a stickler, at least make it easy to buy from the clubhouse! It also seemed that they had no idea of who was where on the course. 12 of us where scheduled to play 36 and we needed to eat lunch at the pub in between rounds pretty quick to make out time. They were totally unprepared to handle us-even though they knew when we'd be off the course and when we needed to get back on. The courses themselves were great designs-but even the fairways were pretty thick-making it hard to find the balls but I get it-course maintenance is tough. I never got any perch-it got devoured by another group immediately. Point is-the place has great potential. but if you're going to be in the hospitality business-you need to be hospitable. Guests should feel welcome, not treated with passive-aggressive surliness. Hope things have changed.
Played the south course for the 1st time. Overall its a decent course. However considering its $65 and out in the middle of nowhere I would expect the fairways to be better maintained. Really couldn't tell the difference between the fairway and rough on most holes. Also the pin placement was silly. Like why would you cut a pin on a steep slope on multiple holes? If the ball comes to a stop 2 inches from the hole it shouldn't roll off the green. The pace of play was good and the staff was friendly.
Horrified after a large dinner party. Portions are small outrageously priced. One glass of wine was $18. Service was slow. Food was cold. We'll never return neither should you! Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
An absolute joke they charge 65$ for this course. Worst fairways, disgusting rough, junk greens, overpriced beer, and horrible customer service /starter. Service: 1 Location: 1
