Going in, I knew this place was expensive, but I was shocked to see New York prices in Liberty New York. Pasta puttanesca, a vegan dish with tomatoes, capers, and olives for $26? It was more expensive than a dish with protein, the very delicious chicken Parmesan for $25. At this price point, I would not expect the servers to re-move my used utensils from my appetizer plate and put them back on the table. Take the dirty plates and the dirty utensils and give dinners fresh utensils in a white tablecloth restaurant. The caprese salad, in the middle of summer, should have had the ripest, most glorious tomatoes, not what appeared to be grocery store cellophane-wrapped hot house, tomatoes. That being said, the service was very good, and for the most part so was the food. I just can't quite get over the pastas, especially without protein being in the high 20s. We had dinner here tonight. When we had to wait for tap water we had a feeling things were not going well. Sadly, it got worse. The waiter didn’t share any specials upon ordering but we heard him share with tables around us. Our drinks never came so we Went up to the bar to get them ourselves. An hour and a half later our entrees came. Not once did anyone during this waiting period stop to even see how we were doing. Had to send my pasta away because it was so bad. We finally complained and the bartender was very apologetic and comped our meal. She clearly knew that there were major issues here. We won’t come back nor will we frequent any other Foster Supply Group locations as this is our second horrible experience. Twice is Enough. PP has been around for many years however Sims Foster and team have taken it to a whole different level. The striking ambiance is hidden inside this old Howard Johnson's building and it is a winner! The service is impeccable, nothing missed. The food was outstanding, we're talking Arthur Ave outstanding. From the wonderful crafted cocktails to the table made Caesar salad, the perfectly done clams oreganata and Cacio Pepe, everything was delicious. Run here if your in the Catskills, it's wonderful!
