Eight of us ate pizza as this is a Italian restaurant and one ate pasta. The dinner begun with the waiter telling us that for the pizzas there was a 20 to 30 minutes wait as there were many requests for pizzas and also asked us if we wanted to change our choice. All professional and good until here. For the reason mentioned, one of my friends asked for pasta to be faster, the result was that he was the last of us eating with some of us finished already. Maybe he had a bad day but the waiter responsible for our table was not really helpful and seemed like he just wanted to get out of work. Asked for a pizza diavola which has spicy salami but the result was a poor pizza with a low number and small size salami pieces, which weren 't even a little spicy. As someone who lives in this city and likes to check new places this just entered the to not come back list.
We went there last evening and had a most enjoyable meal. The restaurant is well appointed with good decor. For our taste, we found the restaurant too brightly lit (a common occurrence in Portugal in our expeience) so we asked them to dim the light a little whch they were happy to do. We also asked them to turn down the music and change the genre and we were given a choice of cds which included a nice jazz seection. The wine list was being updated so the selection of Portuguese wines was limited and when we requested a second bottle of our first choice, it was out of stock so we we're provided with a higher priced bottle at the same price which was excellent. The food was well prepared from a solid Italian menu. At all times, service was attentive and immediate and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We would recommend this restaurant to Trip Advisor followers.
This charming restaurant on Rua do Alecrim, in Chiado, was quite exceptional. We almost walked by, as the restaurant was not busy, but I am glad we stayed. The staff were fluent in English and extremely professional and the food!! I have eaten a lot of good Italian food in my travels and the food here was exceptional. Homemade pasta, delicious sauces, extremely fresh and sophisticated food. I had a superb tuna carpaccio followed by wonderful gnocchi a la bolognese. Better than I've had in Italy. The servers were delighful. As well as providing excellent service, they also gave fabulous advice on Lisbon and even wrote down Portguguese wine recommendations and where to purchase them. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Delicous Food, frindly service, high quality and adequate pricing. On the other hand the daily picked meals will go for the usual price but include a Drink, dessert and coffe.
This Italian restaurant really caught me by its cosy and super friendly approach. The wine was served with knowledge and the food was spotless. I will go again!
