Google maps, nope. Best I could find was a note suggesting ?hours might differ? on Labor Day.Differ how? I?ll just call. Nope. Just a message with their hours but not today?s hours! Too far to drive to find out it?sclosed when we get there.
This beautiful place has gone downhill in a big way over the last few years. We visited on a beautiful Summer Saturday and the 25% occupancy told me all I needed to know. Despite purchasing 4 bottles of wine, we were reminded multiple times that outsidefood and drinks were not allowed. First by the giant ?No Coolers? sign in the parking lot and then by the rude employee makingthe constant rounds in her golf cart. Stalking all 18 patrons in the huge field. At the end of our trip, when we were kicked out10 min prior to close, we were informed that they were lenient on the children?s snacks for our kids this time, but next tripthey would not be allowed despite having zero kid options. Trust me there will NOT be a next time. It?s very unfortunate asthis venue was an amazing summer spot in New England. Now our only hope is the eventual new ownership when this place folds as aresult of their horrible customer service.
Fabulous vineyard in Little Compton, RI with great wines. Limited to grab and go food with a choice of Red, White or Sweet flights $20/flight) a great way to sample to find a fave or a bottle of wine. Grounds are beautiful and atmosphererelaxed. Seating is first come, first serve, but there are lots around the grounds.
As of this time I 'm savoring an inexpensive sweet white...their Block Island vintage. I 've encountered some of the most hospitable and helpful staff. One was very insistent on helping me with my food purchases to the table. I 've noticed, they 'veadded The Merchantile! An extension of this winery however with a bit more detail. Here they showcase other products such asjewelry, soap,makeup..some house wares, clothing and of course...the wine and some food products. As I sit on this scenicveranda..a soft breeze whooshes through the greenery. They are playing melodic soothing romantic music. What better way to getone caught up with the moment.. I would have to say...after leaving..it was a great day My friends..please take the time andvisit Carolyn 's Sakonnet Vinyard
A perfect stop for a relaxing glass of wine! Good views, good wine, especially the Reds. They play relaxing music in the field.
