We enjoyed a delicious meal of Mont D”Or Fondue along with a bottle of champagne, which was recommended by the delightful owner, Mark. It was absolutely fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant also has a fantastic room downstairs with its own bar, large TVs, a pool table, and foosball table, making it perfect for functions. Additionally, there is a smaller area upstairs that would be great for intimate gatherings. The French bistro style atmosphere is charming and ideal for a small group event. We will definitely be booking this space in the future. The location of the restaurant is central yet away from the crowds, making it perfect for a relaxing dining experience. We look forward to returning again.
Called in on a mid week evening as we had previously passed and liked the look of the place. We were not disappointed food was outstanding, and with the drink the total price was really reasonable. Our host was lovely, came over to chat but was not intrusive. Found a little hidden gem here, and it's not a case of whether we are coming back, we will be coming back!
The food and service at this restaurant were outstanding. They offer a great variety of cheeses and meats, along with delicious main dishes for all diners. The live jazz music was excellent and really enhanced the charming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
I am blown away by this place! I wish I had discovered it earlier in the day, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the delicious meat and cheese sharing platter along with a couple of glasses of wine. Every cheese was phenomenal and the fig jam was unlike anything I've ever tasted. The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable, providing detailed explanations of the cheeses and meats. I am already planning my next trip to Liverpool just to spend the entire day there trying every cheese. You absolutely have to visit this place, the menu has a lot to offer. Next time, I am definitely trying the Beef Bourguignon.
My partner and I visited yesterday to celebrate his birthday and we had a wonderful time. The food and wine was delicious (perfect for cheese lovers like ourselves! We would especially recommend the baked camembert and blue cheese and fig tartine, which apparently is part of their new winter menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. You could tell that they were very passionate about food and had a great knowledge of wine. The decor and atmosphere was also very nice and I instantly felt very relaxed and comfortable. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend this little hidden gem to anyone looking for a bit of France right on their doorstep.
