We were then made to wait even longer before our drinks order arrived and then we were given dirty cutlery. The senior waiter (Italian/Spanish I think? made absolutely no effort to recompense us beyond providing a single starter free of charge. If you want good service and good food, I suggest you avoid this place.
I have visited Ping Pong St Katherine’s Dock quite a few times, but this time the service was very poor. The waitress failed to acknowledge we were ready to order, so we had to ask another person and again had to ask when one of the dishes did not arrive to only be told it had not been put through. Each time we needed cutlery or to order more dishes we had to ask, as no waiter came over to our table. We even asked another waiter who then failed to follow through, so we had to ask another. The service received on this occasion was very poor and let it down. I don’t think they were happy we asked for the service charge to be removed either.
It was clearly a sunday evening in that the place was a bit of a mess, staff seemed uninterested. We were sat down and ignored for a long time before we eventually asked someone to order. One of our drinks didn't come, we asked someone twice until we got it. We were then served the incorrect order which was then taken away and our original order wasn't brought to us until we later on asked again! I usually love Ping Pong, this was the first time i'd been to this particular one and I have to say it was the worst one I have eaten at.
Excellent family meal our server Rosie was lovely and helpful
Different servers came to our table each time although they were all helpful. The food was delicious but I wasn’t keen on having to fill in a paper order sheet.
