I went to The Culpepper with friends for a Sunday lunch and was really excited but came away disappointed. The space is beautiful but the food really underwhelming especially for the £21 price tag (most expensive roast I've had for a while). The food was served just warm, which we sent back to be heated up. On the plate was two small pieces of chicken with not much meat, one piece of carrot and one piece of courgette, three roast potatoes that were over-roasted and didn't have any fluff in the middle and then the whole thing was drowning in gravy. The Yorkshire was ok. The staff were friendly enough, and did take off service charge due to the food having to be sent back. I won't be going to back anytime soon.
This restaurant is a pleasant spot, but it is on the expensive side and doesn't offer a wide variety of options for vegetarians. The staff is friendly, though, and during the times I've visited for lunch meetings, it hasn't been very crowded.
Sat on the rooftop on a sunny day with fine wine and excellent food. Staff were really good and the food amazing. On a super sunny day I think I'd sit inside next time!!! Live the venue and the ethos of the place, a must go to in any trip to London for me
I came here in June 2023 for the Sunday roast with family! Good but a little pricey for me … gravy was runny and the beef was quite chewy fatty but I loved the potatoes (crispy! and the courgette. Not a fan of the carrot as it didn’t taste glazed but overall good roast : I recommend booking a table too and it can get busy!
