It's important for us to find a place where we can enjoy a delicious Sunday roast. The Mitre is that place for us, where we can savor a home-cooked meal and a unique dining experience. The Sunday roast at The Mitre is incredibly delicious and comforting. While the restaurant can get busy and the service a bit sloppy at times, the overall experience is well worth returning for. After your meal, I suggest taking a walk in Holland Park, especially to visit the Kyoto Garden.
We initially thought there was an article about the menu posted outside the restaurant, but were pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of delicious food options once inside. The service was attentive and excellent, making us feel very comfortable. We even returned the next night for more of their delicious sticky toffee pudding and apple dessert, which were perfect!
I went for a Sunday roast and was impressed with the generous portion and visually appealing presentation. The pub was nice, though clearly very busy on a Sunday. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to friends and family.
Amazing food, nice ambiance and close to our hotel. The staff could be better organized as it seemed like all of them were taking turns being host, waiter, and clearing tables. We waited a long time, 40+ minutes, to place our order. Once it was placed the food came fast but I had to ask the server if we could put our order in once they were close enough to get their attention. Recommend waving them down before too much time passes.
We love our rituals of Sunday brunettes or lunch. Londoners are pampered with so many possibilities that offer classic, modern and experimental cuisine. For us it is important to find the place where you can return for the delicious Sunday roasts. A welcoming place where you feel like a home cooked food or a unique happy food experience. The Mitre is this place where the Sunday roast gives us as mmmm yummy house boiled feeling. It is busy here and the service can become somewhat sloppy. But the overall experience is worth getting back safely. After your meal, I recommend a walk in Holland Park especially from the Kyoto Garden.
