Your restaurant is not yet open, but it still takes reservations on an open table. This is a big product failure especially when booking on Valentine's Day. Please correct your reservation system immediately.
Obviously, it's hard to check a restaurant when all guests have to sit outside for COVID restrictions, and it's hard to have a real grip on service, food and basically everything because life during this coronavirus times are difficult. However, that is said, I think it is incredibly brave to open a new restaurant in these times. Baja Norte exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled to enjoy a delicious new menu. I heard complaints that the food was too expensive, but my husband and I did not find it in the case. I ordered the seabass tacos at $28, but it was a huge amount of food. There were 3 beautiful tacos flooded with delicacies; the seabass were plentiful and not deep-fried like so many other places. It was slightly grounded and supposed so the outside was crisp, but the interior was buttery. I could have eaten the other things that came with my order. We also had the guacamole perfection, and I don't know if the chips are homemade, but they are delicious. My husband loved his carne asida tacos and we started with the chorizo quesadilla and I thought my husband would drink the whole bowl salsa. But drinks this is the same owner who had the restaurant Rebecca in Venice back in the 80s and have the same oh so famous margaritas. Well, yes....GREAT Margaritas. Service was attentive and friendly and we had content felt in every way.
I always love this place, but the wine prices have gotten out of control and our waiter was not very attentive, but the food is always good. They ran out of ice cream so at least he comped the dessert.
I love this place. convivial, great food. a great local haunt.
