We got a muffuletta as well as the seafood platter to split among four of us. The muffuletta was very heavy on the bread and not so much on the meat. I enjoyed the seafood platter more, which came with fried oysters, catfish, shrimp, and fries. They gave us remoulade, tartar sauce, and ketchup on the side. Credit cards accepted. Counter service if you dine in. Street parking. Employees were friendly.
I had the blackened shrimp po'boy with a crown. This was a giant sandwich filled to the brim with spicy sautéed shrimp. This was absolutely hands down the best po'boy I've ever eaten. This sandwich was so large I saved half for dinner the next day.
Best NO food outside of Crescent City. Whether you want great candy, beer, po'boys, or Cajun Mac and cheese you NEED to come here.
I liked everything but the oysters, fried well so the skills are there. The oysters had gone bad (on both platters) and to me that's a big deal because you know before you cook seafood if it is rancid or not. It is unfortunate because I'm big on integrity and that alone will deter me from returning. No second chances (not worth the risk), as a google local guide my review has to be honest. Also, the fried shrimp on the platter are popcorn shrimp so don't expect medium size or anything like that. Also, they do not offer fried sweet potatoes like the Uber eats menu suggests so just keep in mind that it's not an option anymore. Someone from the restaurant called us to let us know and said they would add extra fries instead.
Had a wonderful experience here! Enjoyed the shop aspect (on the side), with authentic Louisiana hush puppy batter, craft beer, cafe du monde coffee, hot sauces etc. The food was bomb, just how you’d expect at a Po’ boy place in NOLA. I got the oyster fish (fried oysters, catfish) and my date got the fried shrimp po’ boy. Both were excellent; fresh bread, solid dressings, and hefty portions. Tasted great with hot sauce! All in all a great spot that I hope continues to thrive for years to come.
