Overall, it was an amazing experience from the wine to the appetizer to the lobster and crab ravioli. There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from as well.
This Italian restaurant is expensive and the food quality is below average. The special halibut dish, priced at $45, tasted like it was reheated in a microwave and drowned in sauce. The pizzas don't live up to traditional Italian standards, tasting more like something you would find at a grocery store. Despite the high prices, the bruschetta appetizer was decent and the service was acceptable.
We stumbled upon Palermo by chance during a holiday when all other restaurants were closed and were pleasantly surprised. The staff, wine selection, and food were truly Italian and everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Los Gatos.
