The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast and coffee were great. The new owners completely redid the saltwater pool, and it is lovely. I think guests considering this inn should know, this is a former plantation which we didn’t realize from the online information but is on the sign at the entry.
My husband and I had a wonderful extended stay-the grounds and the inn are lovely, beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Breakfast was delicious, our cottage very comfortable, and the resident dogs friendly and well behaved. Our stay at Prospect Inn was just what we needed and we hope to return ! Thank you Terenee and Jim!
What a wonderful find! We stayed in the Carriage House and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. The attention to detail from the owners was exceptional and they went over and above to meet our every need. The topper was of course, to be sent off with a continental breakfast To Go on the morning of our early AM departure. Kudos. We would stay here again.
Hello, my name is Ingrid and I want to first say thank you to a lovely lady name Mrs T, she was truly a blessing and made everything that I envisioned for that weekend, She helped me bring it to light. My husband and I had such a wonderful time together. the atmosphere was peaceful and serene, The food was top-notch I will definitely come back, tell my friends and family about it. It was truly a great experience such a wonderful place to visit and if you just need to get away and clear your head Prospect Hill is for you. Thank you family for making me feel at home
My husband booked a room in the Manor House as a surprise for me, and the whole stay was lovelier than I could 've imagined. The owners, T and Jim are the kindest hosts and greet each guest with a warmth and genuine sincerity that 's hard to find. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated, but doesn 't feel like a museum: you feel welcome to take up space and enjoy the atmosphere of the different rooms. There are additional workers that are more behind the scenes that I met in passing that offered me that same sincerity and kindness, and their hard work shows. The breakfasts are phenomenal! A three course breakfast is curated every day by Jim, and he puts his heart and soul into the cooking. He is more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies, and that really put us at ease since my husband has trouble with dairy. The nature path was a perfect post-breakfast walk and there is so much to do with Charlottesville being a short drive away. We were made more comfortable than we 've ever been, and we were treated like close friends for the whole stay. The whole experience was one I wouldn 't trade for anything and was truly memorable. For the dog lovers, T and Jim have two beautiful dogs who are just as welcoming as the rest of the staff and will make you feel right at home. Max and Gus-Gus stole our hearts, and Jim and T are lovely people worth meeting and getting to know! I highly recommend spending (at the very least) a night at Prospect Hill Inn, and I cannot wait to go back!
