There's a lot to choose from and her suggestions helped me narrow it down because I wanted to try it all. I got the island chicken. One with sauce and one without. OMG!! It was so good! I'm mean ??? no exaggeration. The sauce is definitely spicy so if you're not a fan of spicy get it on the side. The steak ? mac and cheese?! The cabbage, rice and beans, and white rice ?like really good! The shrimp and grits were bomb! I can't wait to go back to try the jerk spaghetti and rasta pasta.
I came to Open Caribbean Kitchen last year while I was in Kentucky and the food was 10/10- great price, taste and even better portions! While visiting in Louisville I came back and tried to reorder the Jerk Chicken Spaghetti but they were sold out. Ms Jackie got the chef to whip me up a sample plate and OMG! This is the reason I came back all the way from Dallas! Next time I’m in Louisville I’ll will definitely be back! I wish they had a similar place in Dallas, Tx. ????
It was my first time eating here and let me tell you I highly recommend!! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was spot on!! And did I mention the portion size because I had plenty of leftovers and it was worth every penny!! I can't wait to come back and try more of they're menu!!Kid-friendliness: She didn't hesitate to let me son try the Mac and cheese and he loved it!! She even put it in a bag by itself so he could carry it!!
Absolutely incredible! I love Caribbean food and Open Caribbean Kitchen is one of the best if not thee best that I have ever had in Louisville. Highly recommend the Oxtail meal. Jackie did a great job of discussing the sauces with me and I loved every recommendation she provided. Extremely helpful and made me feel very welcome!
The lady was nice and answered all they questions my round and I had. The food portion was great. Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.
