Contribuer aux commentairesI must tell you that I was there 3 or 4 times, staying in neighbourhood, at „Il borgo di via chiesa” , of course, and each time I promised myself to eat something else next time. The food, the plates looks so good, that was a pleasure for me to mix few type of meals, accompanied by a bottle of good wine. In all occasions we were at least 5 people and we shared our emotions testing different meals. The atmosphere is very friendly, joking with the owner, waiters, but with a very good advices from their part. I'll go there each time when I'll be in the area. In those times, I went even in other good restaurants in Bologna, but I must recognize that this was the best from far. I recommend this restaurant for seafood, but you can eat there also pasta, a good steak or a pizza.
We were recommended to this place by our host at the nearby hotel we were staying in (Residence Alle Scuole). We were looking forward to having some good fish dishes after a week of meat eating in Paris and Florence. The place was packed with locals, with many of them ordering different seafood platters that the place is apparently known for, Being only able to eat fish amongst the many seafood offerings, we wanted to try the sea bass, but unfortunately they ran out of it. We did ask for and got the the famous Tortellini en Brodo, a renowned dish in the area, with its delicious stuffed vegetables and cheese. Instead of the fish, for main disch we ordered the beef fillet cooked in balsamic, which was tender and tasty. We were challenged by the lack of English speaking personnel, so we struggled a bit. The enterprising young waitress was patient with us, and suggested I get Google Translate she gave me the wifi code and I downloaded the app right then and there on my ipad. That made it easier to understand the menu. We managed to get through the meal, with much leftovers to share with Alessandro, our host at the hotel.
This beautiful restaurant located very near Bologna, has as specialties, dishes from seafood. Starting with the delicious seafood starters and continuing with lobster-spaghetti or any other option than fish one wants and in combination with very good wine and tapentanostima desserts (try the tiramisu) pass pleasantly. However delicious traditional pizzas is amazing and delicious pastas and meats without spending a lot of money because the prices are cheap. I've visited many times and I've tasted almost everything and highly recommend it.
Not for tourist. Nobody knows a word in English, and they do not do minimal efforts to help. when we asked about the courts, they gave us a face. we had to guess, and so we got a court that we didn't want, since
Improved service. fish appetizer a little sad. non-representable bulk wine. spaghetti with a good scoria and abundant portion. apart from the bulky wine, the raw material is valid (the fish is good, the surimi apart). The place is beautiful. would be enough for the five stars
