The host Art is a great guy. He is very knowledgeable about the area gave excellent recommendations on local restaurants and things to do. We took his recommendation on where to eat and his choices did not disappoint. The room we stayed in was very cozy. All amenities up to date. (WiFi, Roku tv, etc) I liked that each room has two entrances and exits meaning we didn’t have to go through the home to get to our room every time. The breakfast was also very tasty. Art had selections from the local bakery each morning for us to eat. We will be coming back.
We stayed at the Inn in early June for my wife's birthday and really enjoyed our stay. Janina was very friendly and makes a great breakfast! We will definitely stay here again!
This was my first B&B experience and it was just what I was hoping. Our room (Boudoir Suite) was spacious, private, clean, cozy and romantic. Art was wonderful, attentive, hospitable, informative, kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious! The Inn is in the middle of the main and within walking distance of shops, food and entertainment. We had a private entrance and parking. Just by the luck of the draw, we had the entire house to ourselves. DEFINITELY ON MY WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN! LIST!
Situated in the heart of Luray, this charming old Victorian B&B was exactly what we needed for a lovely weekend getaway! Each inside the home was more beautiful than the next and there were so many interesting historical artifacts and artwork to take in. We stayed in the Boudoir Suite – beautifully decorated, spacious, and so romantic. The innkeeper was so friendly and helpful…his recommendations couldn’t have been more spot on. The Inn is right on Main Street in historic downtown. There were so many lovely shops and restaurants that were walkable! Luray is such a great town – nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive. We were able to fit in a hike in Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. With all the wonderful memories we made, staying at the Inn of the Shenandoah was right there at the top. We’ll surely be back!
Janina and Matthew were the professional hosts we needed. We’ll be back for sure.
